LGBTQIA+ Experiences

It's vital for LGBTQIA+ individuals to find clinicians who understand the experiences our community encounters. Whether you feel confident in your identity, or are questioning and exploring, you are welcome here.

Neurodivergence

Neurodivergence includes a spectrum of diverse minds, experiences, and ways of processing the world. I provide affirming support that honors your lived experience and a space where you can show up authentically.

Stress/Burnout

Stress from responsibilities can add up, causing health concerns and making it hard to show up for ourselves or others. Together we'll learn to complete stress cycles, find balance, and allow our bodies to recover.

Other Concerns I Work With

Anxiety

When we constantly feel on high alert, completing daily tasks and enjoying downtime can be challenging. We'll work together to build skills to calm your mind and body and help you find relief both in and out of session.

Career/Academic Challenges

At work and school you might be managing imposter syndrome, dissatisfaction, and high pressure environments. We'll build on your strengths and interests, and focus on your long term goals to navigate these together.

Depression

Depression can hit us hard, making us feel sad, numb, and drained of energy and interest. Together, we'll explore its root causes and cultivate strategies to build resilience, helping you find a brighter outlook on life.

Eco-Anxiety/Eco-Grief

Feelings of distress related to environmental issues can be overwhelming and isolating. Eco-therapy can help us name, process, and cope with these emotions, while reconnecting with natural elements in our daily lives.

Identity Exploration

Identity exploration is a journey of self-discovery, where we explore passions, beliefs, and values. In therapy, you'll find a safe and supportive space to embrace uncertainty and uncover what feels authentic and true to you.

Life Transitions

Change is inevitable, but that doesn't mean it's easy. Through life's changes like moves, career shifts, health changes, or relationship loss, you'll receive support to process emotions and find opportunities for growth.

Relationship Challenges

Navigating relationships with family, friends, or romantic partners can be challenging at times. Therapy can help us understand how we show up in relationships, create healthy boundaries, and communicate more effectively.

Self Compassion

Self criticism can hinder our growth, increase stress, and make it difficult to connect with others. By practicing self compassion, we learn to be kinder towards ourselves, improving resilience and leading to healthier relationships.

Trauma

Distressing experiences can leave us with lasting imprints that impact our well being. As a trauma informed counselor, I prioritize your consent and autonomy and recognize that safety and trust are vital for your healing.

No Surprises Act Disclosure:

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

  • You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.

Sliding Scale

I understand that seeking therapy can be a significant financial commitment which can limit many from accessing quality mental health care. That's why I offer several sliding scale options for clients who are unable to afford my full fee. These slots are limited and available on a first come first served basis. Please contact me to learn more and find out if sliding scale is a possibility for you.
